There are a lot of misconceptions about automotive
touch up. We strive to educate the consumer as
to what a realistic expectation should be. While
we use only top quality products and materials,
consumers should understand that touch up is just
that, TOUCH UP!
While we have refined our process to maximize
the quality and durability of the repaired area,
perfection is not possible. Our repairs stand
up VERY well to close scrutiny, but most repairs
will still be visible if you look close enough,
and are meticulous in the care of your vehicle.
We repair vehicles of all makes and models, and
have the ability to mix and match colors for most
cars and trucks manufactured from 1967 to the
present. We use Sherwin-Williams Automotive paints
and we mix paint for each and every vehicle. We
won't use the "glorified nail polish" that most
car makers and large companies sell to consumers.
That form of touch up paint is usually lacquer
based which is easier to work with, but it is
probably NOT what is on your vehicle. Most newer
cars have a urethane based base coat / clear coat
system, which is what we use. We meticulously
prepare the work area to promote maximum adhesion,
and we custom match the paint to your vehicle.
As we said, the repaired area may not be perfect,
but most people are more than pleased with the
results.
