The appearance of your vehicle is more important
than you think. Think about when you bought your
car. When you walked around the car, did you look
for dents and scratches? People believe that a
vehicles appearance is in direct relation to how
well the vehicle was maintained and cared for.
Let's face it, even the most cautious of us have
had someone open a door into the side of our car,
or had something strike the finish and leave a
chip or scratch. Put just a few of these occurances
together and it starts to make a car look terrible.
When a professional buyer walks around a vehicle,
things like paint work, sanding scratches and
body filler stand out. They don't like to see
previous repairs because that will diminish the
resale value of the car, after all if they can
see it, the buyer may be able to see it also.
We know that you've seen a car going down the
road and noticed that some of the body panels
are a slightly different color than the rest of
the car. That usually comes from someone repainting
those panels months earlier. They may not have
needed the expensive paint or body work. A simple
touch-up or dent repair may have taken care of
the whole problem. When you break the factory
finish of a vehicle, you just about guarantee
that the finish will never be "right" from that
point on. It's highly improbable that even the
best body shop can duplicate the finish exactly.
The fade rate of the factory finish and the repaired
area will almost always be different, due to chemical
differences in these mismatched finishes, and
this is what leads us to color differences that
occur not long after a major refinish is completed.
Since there is no paint and body work necessary
with Paintless Dent Repair, there is very little
chance that anyone would ever see a repair that
is done well. General Motors even instructs it
resellers about the benefits and cost savings
of PDR. You can check out the link below.
